Police-requested tows
Different report duties, same notice clock.
Incident-management tows requested by police are exempt from the two-hour private-property report unless the agency asks for it (Occupations Code ch. 2303). The owner and lienholder notices still run on day 5 or day 14.
If the agency with jurisdiction requested abandonment reports, we track the 10th day after each first postmark and the $10 fee per accepted report, in the format that department wants.
