For PPI operators

Apartment tows fill the back row fastest.

What hurts

Sound familiar?

  • Low-value cars nobody comes back for
  • A two-hour police report on top of the notice clock
  • A full lot that blocks the next tow

The two-hour report

Private-property tows start with a police report, not a letter.

Within two hours of accepting the vehicle, report it to the agency with jurisdiction over the tow location: description, plate state and number, VIN if readable, tow location, and your VSF name and location.

Your file must show who took the report, how it was sent, and the time and date or the control number. That report stays with the yard; we audit the log against every intake so a missing one surfaces on Monday, not at inspection.

Where to start

Backlog first, or next week first.

Find out which cars are already late.

Send your volume and roughly how many cars are past day 5 with no notice. A person reviews it by hand and replies by email.
